A Notice Under The Public Order Act has been placed on the demonstration at Fairford on 22nd March.

Everyone coming to Fairford needs to be aware there will be restrictions on the time and area of the protest as laid out in this notice. Police are printing 10,000 copies to be handed out on the day. Essentially protesters will be restricted to the march route and main gate area. Around 50 yards further down the road there will be a police cordon to prevent anyone going further around to decorate fences with banners or place flowers at other locations nearer to the bombers.

This map segment shows where the boundary will be. Click Fairford Maps in the menu bar above for more location information if required. Police has asked that everyone attending should be aware of the dangers of trespass on a live airbase and should read MOD Police warning on Fairford
Here is the Gloucestershire Constabulary Welcome To Fairford leaflet (70k PDF file) printed versions of this will be handed out on the day.

Health & saftey: We are organising stewards for saturday's demo to make sure everything goes off as safely and peacefully as possible. We ask all participants to cooperate fully with the stewards who are helping to ensure the health and safety of all the protesters.

We have also organised for 20 toilets including 2 disabled cubicles to be available at Mill Street Car park near the assembly point in Fairford village.

Police has asked that everyone attending should be aware of the dangers of trespass on a live airbase and should read MOD Police warning on Fairford

Note: that the march and rally at the main gate are at a safe distance from the aircraft and there is no danger from the base as far as the peaceful protest is concerned.
